Co-CEO

Sam Sooialo MBA

Sam is a seasoned senior executive and Board Director with over 20 years’ experience working across the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors in Australia, the UK, and New Zealand.

As Co-CEO of Fairhaven, he works in close partnership across the organisation, focused on growth, building strong relationships, and making sure strategy translates into real outcomes for the people the organisation supports. He believes the best organisations are those where purpose and performance go hand in hand.

Across his career, Sam has led organisations through change, growth, and periods of reset – strengthening performance, improving governance, and building teams that can deliver.

Over time, he made a deliberate shift into out-of-home care, and now the NDIS sector – wanting to work closer with people, not just systems. That experience has given him a practical understanding of how organisations are meant to work, and where they can fall short.

At Fairhaven, Sam focuses on creating real opportunities for people living with disability, particularly through supported employment and social enterprise – helping people build confidence, skills, and independence.

He is known for a straightforward, grounded leadership style and a focus on getting things done.

Sam holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Bachelor of Information Technology, and a Postgrad Certificate in Psychology, bringing a balanced perspective across business, systems, and people.

At the core of his approach is a simple belief: organisations should deliver strong results, while making a genuine difference in the lives of the people and communities they serve.
