We have a range of social and community support options to assist people living with disability on the Central Coast
Fairhaven focus on the goals and aspirations of each person encouraging you in making your own choices to increase your independence.
Fairhaven’s team of qualified support staff are highly skilled professionals who value and respect people’s abilities, and encourage clients to achieve personal goals. We practise a flexible and creative approach to learning while working collaboratively with families and carers.
Community supports and life skills
We focus on individual needs and goals to ensure people increase their independence and are better connected within their communities.
Assisting to achieve your NDIS goals
- Health and wellbeing (such as learning to ride a horse or how to swim)
- Daily living skills (such as grocery shopping, meal planning and cooking)
- Support with capacity building (such as learning to use public transport or to write a letter)
- Support to get out and about in your community either individually or as a group (such as going to the movies, attending a footy game or accessing indoor and outdoor activities)
Community Hub activities
Our weekly activities program has been designed to develop skills, promote self-confidence and build social networks. Sessions are led by experienced facilitators in the friendly, supportive environment of the Community Hub building on our site at Point Clare on the Central Coast. Hub activities are designed for people 18+ with all levels of ability, including if you have an NDIS Plan.
Fairhaven run a variety of social events throughout the year.
