Green Pathways is a supported pathway to employment for young people aged 16–25.
From your first day, you learn by doing – developing practical horticulture skills, workplace confidence and independence in a real nursery environment.
Unlike a traditional course with a fixed beginning and end, Green Pathways continues at your pace. Your goals, skills and work readiness help shape the journey.
1. Join Green Pathways directly
Start hands-on nursery experience straight away and begin developing practical horticulture skills, confidence and workplace experience from day one.
2. Start via our 8-week horticulture course
You can also begin with our 8-week horticulture course and then continue your journey through Green Pathways.
You’ll start building practical horticulture skills, workplace confidence and independence from day one.
What you do:
Take part in practical nursery activities and additional training.
As you progress, you can also take part in the 8-week horticulture course delivered with Zeal Futures.

When your skills, confidence and work readiness are in place, Fairhaven will support you to explore suitable employment opportunities with Fairhaven or with other employers.
What you do:
Green Pathways can be accessed through School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) and other appropriate NDIS funding, depending on your plan.
