Green Pathways Nursery

Our Green Pathways Nursery offers hands-on training and real work experience for people looking to build skills and get work ready. Beginning as a SLES pilot program with the aim of growing into an ADE in the next 12 months, it creates pathways into mainstream and supported employment.

Grow skills. Grow Confidence. Grow Futures.

Green Pathways Nursery – Horticulture Training & Work Experience (NDIS Supported)

Learn real skills. Build confidence. Choose your pathway.

Your journey begins with a Free 8-week training course in a supportive, hands-on environment.

You’ll learn practical skills that can help you build a future working with plants, gardens, and customers.

During the course, you’ll:

  • Learn how to grow and care for plants
  • Build confidence working in a team
  • Gain real skills you can use in a job or at home
  • Have the opportunity to complete a nationally recognised White Card

Your Pathway in 3 Steps

Step 1 - Start with our FREE 8-week program

Register for our FREE 8-week training program, delivered at our Point Clare site.

This is made possible through our partnership with Zeal Futures and supported by ACE funding.

You’ll build practical skills, confidence, and a foundation for future pathways.

Step 2 - Continue with hands-on experience (NDIS participants)

After graduating, participants with an NDIS plan may have the opportunity to continue into hands-on work experience through our SLES program at the nursery.

This stage is designed to help you explore what’s next, whether that’s:

  • Working in a nursery
  • Getting a job in the community
  • Or building practical skills for everyday life

Step 3 - Transition toward employment

As you continue to build your skills and demonstrate competency – typically over 6 to 24 months, you’ll be supported to work toward employment outcomes.

This may include opportunities in a mainstream nursery or, over time, within our Green Pathways Nursery as a Supported Employee.

Our nursery is currently in its pilot phase (30 June 2026 to 30 July 2027). During this time, we are establishing the program and will better understand how many Supported Employee roles we can offer in the future.
