Fairhaven’s Green Pathways Program is designed for school leavers with disability support needs who are ready to explore careers and hobbies in plant husbandry.

 

This program is a brilliant way not just to learn industry relevant skills, but build confidence, independence and genuine friendships.

Green Pathways Nursery – Horticulture Training & Work Experience (NDIS Supported)

Your journey begins with a Free 8-week training course in a supportive, hands-on environment.

 

You’ll learn practical skills that can help you build a future working with plants, gardens, and customers.

 

During the course, you’ll:

  • Learn how to grow and care for plants
  • Build confidence working in a team
  • Gain real skills you can use in a job or at home
  • Have the opportunity to complete a nationally recognised White Card

What happens next?

After you finish the 8-week program, your pathway continues.

If you have an NDIS plan, you can move into hands-on work experience through our SLES program at our nursery in Point Clare.

Here, you will:

 

  • Build real-world experience in a working nursery
  • Learn plant care (plant husbandry) skills
  • Develop independence and confidence
  • Work alongside others and build friendships
