Quality Circle Newsletter

Where to begin. I am sure the universal ‘this year hasn’t gone according to plan’ sentiment could be a start but I would rather look towards the future. We are not through it yet but together Fairhaven has proven to be a nimble, versatile and resilient organisation. On the following pages you will read about the decisions the Board and senior management have made in order to keep our clients, participants and staff safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our focus as always is providing quality support, services and programs to those living with disability on the Central Coast.
The future will look different but I have no doubt that it is a bright one for Fairhaven and the Fairhaven community. On that note it is with great pleasure that I can now announce the appointment of Scott Holz to the position of Chief Executive Officer at Fairhaven.

Scott brings a wealth of experience in the not-for-profit sector, specifically in disability having worked at every organisational level from support worker to CEO. He has held positions as Director Business and Vocational Services at Disability Services Australia, CEO at Civic Disability Services and State Manager NSW at National Disability Services (NDS). Most recently he was the Principle Consultant/Owner at Peregrinus Consulting that delivered services in NDIS transition planning, strategic and business planning and workshop facilitation to disability services in NSW.

Scott will commence with Fairhaven in early May, leaving this to be my last CEO message. It has certainly been a different ‘interim’ experience than I anticipated but I am grateful to have been a part of a strong team. All focused on the one goal, the success of Fairhaven in order to continue its purpose in changing the lives of people living with disability through exceptional service, programs and support.

My sincere thanks to all the Fairhaven family. Take care and wishing you all the very best for the future.

Tony Anderson

Interim CEO – Fairhaven
